Invoices, Payments and Card Operations Are Different Workflows

An organization can use iConnectData for both operational administration and account-level billing tasks, but those activities should not be treated as one workflow.

Current customer resources identify invoice search through the Payment Center and distinguish invoice functions from reporting and card-maintenance tasks.

Start with the business question

If the question is “What happened on this card?” begin with the relevant transaction or card information.

If the question is “What invoice applies to this account or period?” begin with the billing workflow.

Keep evidence streams distinct

Transaction history, management reporting and invoices may all contribute to an internal review, but they are different records serving different purposes.

A good operational review documents which source is being used for which conclusion.

Payment actions should use verified procedures

Any payment or billing action should be performed through the organization’s verified account workflow. Do not provide payment credentials to an independent informational publication.
